Jack Allen, President
Hey guys my name is Jack Allen. I am from Fort Worth, Texas and I’ve been fly fishing for around 6 years now and guiding for about 2 of those. I am currently a fisheries and aquatic biology major here at CSU and I love to learn about fish. You can find me either chasing trout here in Colorado or maybe some redfish on the flats of the Texas coast. If I had to pick my absolute favorite fish it would redfish for sure. I am so stoked to be a part of this club and I can not wait to get out on the water and fish with y’all. If you see me on the river say hey!

Joe Tardif, Vice President
Hey I’m Joe, new VP of the fly fishing club. I’m super stocked to get some fun stuff planned for this years club! I’m a Conservation Biology major at CSU working towards a career in land management. My passions are hunting, fishing, cooking, and exploring. My biggest passion is connecting myself to the food chain and harvesting my catches. You’ll find me on club trips cooking up trout on the fire!

Gavin Jones, Treasurer
Hey Y'all I'm Gavin, the new treasurer of the Fly Fishing Club and I'm amped to be a part of the club this year! I'm from Frankfort, Illinois and I'm studying Wildlife Biology with a minor in Spanish. When I'm not on the water you'll catch me hunting or hiking with my dog. On club trips you'll likely find me in a tree trying to recover my last indicator!

Owen Grigsby, Secretary
What's up everybody,
I'm Owen Grigsby, your secretary for 2023-24. I'm from Eugene, Oregon, and I've been fly fishing most of my life. I'm in my junior year here at CSU studying Environmental & Natural Resource Economics. I love to help get people into fly fishing, so if you ever have any questions don't hesitate to reach out!

Kate Moseley, Education & Inclusivity Chair
Howdy Fishy Folks! My name is Kate Moseley. I'm from Fort Collins, CO, and have been fly fishing for about as long as I've been able to hold a rod. I’m a junior studying Fish and Conservation Biology. I not only love fishing myself, but also teaching others both formally through guiding, and through our club classes. I'm a major river junkie from entomology to kayaking to hydrology and of course fly fishing. My favorite river is the Poudre River.

Russell Forester, Fly Tying Chair
Hola, my name is Russell Forester. I hail from Massachusetts, but like the brook trout, have found the west a better habitat. I enjoy tying bushy dry flies almost as much as I love throwing them around small creeks. I’m stoked to teach y’all how to whip up some bugs!

Annie Hessler, Conservation Chair
Hiya! I'm Annie Hessler, the Conservation Chair! I'm originally from the Great Lakes state of Northern Michigan; I have happily called Colorado home for the last 8 years. Being an avid angler all my life, the environment and our waters mean a lot to me. Without the conservation of our rivers and land, we would be unable to enjoy the art of fly fishing! So, I am eagerly looking forward to this year and the work that will result from the conservation efforts we will be putting into the club. You'll find me on club trips, probably picking up trash, looking at pretty rocks in the river, and enjoying the views!
